My task for this assignment was simple: create a variant cover design for a book that I have read in the past. I chose The Sacred Year, a great book about the treasure of Christian spiritual practices. This design incorporates different pieces of imagery in the book—namely, apples and gravestones—and brings them together to show that, ultimately, spiritual practices can overcome spiritual stagnancy and help contribute to a more Christ-like life.
